Development and Implementation of Evidence-based Dentistry Teaching Module at Saudi Arabian University

Aim: to describe the module followed help undergraduate students in applying EBD-related skills develop an evidence-based report at Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (KAUFD). Method: The paper explains procedures undertaken teach last year dental program KAUFD. A brief description was provided, starting for preparation and including all steps required produce answer certain clinically relevant questions. At end module, were invited anonymously fill out a questionnaire evaluate module. Responses from 2015-16 2019-20 summarized using descriptive statistics. Chi-square or Fisher’s exact tests used compare students’ responses two academic years significant level 0.05. Results: Majority found objectives expectations clear, satisfied with organization felt that it intellectually challenging. More than 80% respondents stated they are confidents EBD concept any clinical question. Overall, majority topics relevant, assignment useful, deadlines reasonable. Students highly their experience assigned tutor regard evaluated aspects. Conclusion: This study supports effectiveness incorporated into curriculum improving knowledge skills.
